My name is Beau Gertz and I’m fascinated by the power and potential of plants to solve individual and collective challenges. As we move forward, it’s easy to lose sight of the path ahead, and even easier to stumble over the increasingly complex obstacles we all face. And that can make it difficult to see the potential for progress all around us. I get it. However, when I slow down and look around, I see plenty of reason for optimism. It’s exciting, inspiring, and what’s led me here.

As a long-time resident of Colorado, I’m surrounded by natural beauty. But it’s not just the mountains and peace I find in nature that inspire me. Colorado’s open, forward-thinking mentality is equally inspiring. And when I add all this up, it’s easy for me to see why I’m on the path that I’m on. What path is that? It’s more like a mission — a mission to create a more sustainable, equitable future, where plant-based living is central to our collective progress.

I started this blog for a few reasons. I’m here to explore some of the most pressing challenges we face, both as a society and as individuals. I’m here to advocate for innovative plant-based solutions that foster social cohesion and encourage individual wellness.

And I’m here thanks to my friends and family. After years of listening to me share ideas and thoughts on these topics, they encouraged me to start a blog. I’m not sure if they needed a break from my enthusiasm or shared it. It doesn’t matter, because here we are. I’m Beau Gertz. Welcome to my blog. Look around, take your shoes off, and stay for a while.
